Our Counter-Strike team began on Tuesday a five-day bootcamp in Toulouse, France, with a view to preparing for the upcoming MLG Columbus Major, taking place next week. During this period, the team will be focusing on cutting out its errors in a bid to survive a very tough group that also includes Virtus.pro, Na`Vi and Cloud9.
Getting as much preparation done as possible will be essential at the Major. After all, we are talking about the biggest event in the history of the game, with a whopping $1 million on the line. So we asked the team’s manager, Jérôme “NiaK” Sudries, about his thoughts on the bootcamp:
“This bootcamp has three main objectives: get everyone in shape for the tournament, fix our weaknesses and add a few special tricks to our game… the basics, pretty much,” NiaK said. “Thanks to our partner Alienware and thanks to the support of BenQ we were able to organize this bootcamp in the southern part of France, in a beautiful and spacious villa. The conditions are optimal to improve and play all day long. Let’s rock!“
