After struggling for form in the weeks that followed the arrival of Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi, NiP have slowly found their way back to the top, and recently won DreamHack Masters Malmö against all odds. The Swedish team are no longer the side who dominated Counter-Strike in 2012/2013, but they keep reminding everyone that they should not be overlooked and that their chances can never be written off.
Next up, we have Canadian team OpTic Gaming, who performed remarkably well at the recent Americas Minor Championship, powered by their Spanish star, Óscar “mixwell” Cañellas. It will be quite interesting to see if they will be able to keep this level of form, after failing to impress at previous international events. Finally, there is Selfless Gaming, a last-minute replacement following the withdrawal of TyLoo due to visa issues. Selfless bowed out early at their recent LAN events, but they enter ELEAGUE with renewed hopes and a new fifth player, Connor “Connor” Glover, and will be looking to disrupt the order in the group.
