ESL One Cologne is finally here! Sixteen of the strongest teams in the world – including G2 Esports – have travelled to Germany to compete at the second Major of the year. With $1 million at stake, will a new champion emerge, or will SK Gaming retain the title won in Columbus while playing for Luminosity?
Our team has been placed into a very tricky group, alongside not only SK, but also fnatic and FaZe. This is without a doubt a ‘Group of Death’, but, as Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom said, if the team is able to keep up the level of form shown at the ECS finals, a spot in the playoffs is definitely within reach!
The Major will kick off with a group stage, featuring a best-of-one format except for the decider matches, which will be best-of-three clashes. The top two teams from each group will then advance to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs.
