The G2 Esports CS:GO squad is happy to announce that they will be one of the eight teams battling for fame and a $100,000 prize pool at DreamHack Tours 2017 in France from the 6th to 8th of May.
For our all-French lineup this tournament will be one of the few chances to play on home soil and enjoy the passionate cheers of their French fans. We are sure the atmosphere and the crowd will be extra hot as G2 will be joined by their French rivals Team EnVyUs.
According to our rifler Alexandre ‘bodyy’ Pianaro, it feels special to go to Tours. “At this time, I don’t know which teams are going to attend this tournament but to be honest I’m excited and I have a good feeling regarding this event! We are really improving and playing at ‘home’ is always special. Nothing can be better than having the crowd behind you, supporting you and maybe your friends and family boosting you even more. It has been a long time since we played in an international tournament in France, I think it’s going to be amazing. Brace yourself!” – he says.
In addition to G2 Esports and Team EnVyUs, six more teams will be competing in Tours. Eight participating teams consist of 6 direct invites and 2 teams that join the tournament through qualifiers in Europe and North America. The other competing teams will be revealed by DreamHack soon. Below you can find more information about the tournament:
However, there is still more than a month until DreamHack Tours. In the meantime don’t miss the other action involving our CS:GO stars! In just a few days they will be facing their opponents in StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals in Kiev, Ukraine. After this, the G2 guys will hop on a plane to the US, where they will compete at DreamHack Austin, from April 28th to 30th at the Austin Convention Center, for yet another $100,000 prize pool.
