As 2015 is about to end, it is time to distinguish the players and the teams who performed exceptionally during the year under review. And even though our Counter-Strike team has been together for little over six months, they certainly made a strong impression during the second half of 2015. As such, it is no surprise to see G2.Kinguin represented in several categories at the GosuAwards, community-based accolades handed by Gosugamers.net.
Having played the game for almost 15 years, Ricardo “fox” Pacheco is hardly a rookie, but he still finds himself in the running for the Break-Out Player award after catching the eye while playing for our team, this way silencing those who had doubted his ability to perform at the highest level.
With back-to-back major appearances, including a semi-final run at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca, our team is up for the Most Improved side award, alongside Team Liquid, Luminosity, dignitas and Legacy. It is worth nothing that the team’s nail-biting clash against EnVyUs is listed as one of the matches of the year!
A fourth nomination sees G2.Kinguin up for the Best Roster Change award for bringing Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad on board in September. The Norwegian talent has been a key part of our team since his arrival, and we are glad that his impressive growth has not gone unnoticed!
