G2 Esports would like to announce a second change to its Spanish League of Legends roster, called G2.Vodafone, with the signing of mid laner Jordi “xTyLk” Buvalets from KIYF. The 18-year-old will replace Ismael “Miniduke” Martínez, who expressed his wish to stand down from our starting lineup after Final Cup due to personal reasons.
Ismael will remain on the team as a substitute player and as a streamer, so there will certainly be plenty of opportunities for his fans to watch him in action throughout the season.
The arrivals of Jordi and David “Skain” Carbó, who joined our team at the start of the week, highlight G2’s commitment to continuously nurture young talent. The duo, together with Rosendo “Send0o” Fuentes, Kevin “InKos” Alpire and Guillermo “Sou” Velasco, will be working under new coach Alex “Mapachito” Parejo to get in shape before the start of the new season, where the goal will be to defend the title.
Jesús “Lego” García, the team’s manager, gave the following statement about Jordi’s signing:
“It was hard for me to listen to Miniduke when he said he wanted to step down due to personal problems… All we have to do is respect our players’ decisions, and this is not ‘goodbye’ but a ‘see you later’. Miniduke will continue at the club, creating content as a streamer, and you will be able to watch him every day on his channel. Jordi, just like David, is an unpolished gem, he has a lot of potential and just needs an organisation like ours to continue his growth. I have no doubt that he will turn heads next season!”
