Gamers2’s Call of Duty squad plus team manager Axel “axeel” Martinez will board on Friday morning a plane to London, where they will be competing in Gfinity Spring Masters, one of the biggest COD tournaments of the year. Sixteen teams hailing from three different continents will be taking part in this tournament with hopes of being crowned Gfinity Champions and getting their hands on a slice of the $25,000 prize pool.

As previously announced, our team will be fielding a substitute during this tournament, Spirit Gaming’s Fran “PeLuka” Rubio, who will step into the shoes of Toni “Tojor” Jorda. Still, Gamers2’s management and the players remain upbeat about the team’s chances at the British event after a top-16 finish at the COD Championship, in March.

The draw was not kind to Gamers2, however, as our team will have to battle ESWC champions OpTic Gaming, Strictly Business and Epsilon in the opening stage. Below you can find an infographic with the group draw in full:

The group stage will use a double-elimination bracket format, with our team due to face OpTic Gaming in the first round, which is scheduled to start at 19 CEST. You can find a tentative schedule on Gfinity’s official website.
