Our Spanish Call of Duty team has qualified for the upcoming COD World Championship after beating fellow countrymen Spirit Gaming 3-1 in the national qualifier, which took place on Saturday at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London.
This means that “TojoR”, “Lgend”, “MethodZ” and “JK7” will be in Los Angeles from March 27th-29th for the biggest COD tournament of the year, sponsored by Microsoft/Xbox and Major League Gaming. A total of 32 teams from all over the world will duke it out for the title of world champion and a piece of the tournament’s $1 million prize purse.
In the single-elimination tournament with the top 14 teams in Europe, which had $10,000 up for grabs and determined the seeding for the World Championship, our team reached the quarter-finals, where it lost to Aware Gaming 0-3. Still, nothing that takes away the merit of our players, who gave a great account of themselves in London. See you in Los Angeles!
