Gamers2 welcomes Kikis to LoL team

Gamers2 is delighted to announce the signing of former Unicorns of Love player Mateusz “Kikis” Szkudlarek, who will man the jungle from now on.

Today, we are pleased to announce a world-class addition to our League of Legends roster in the shape of Mateusz “Kikis” Szkudlarek. Gamers2’s team has been performing well in the Challenger Series and has secured a spot in the season playoffs following Tuesday’s victory over Denial. However, the club’s main goal remains to reach the LCS and compete against the best teams and players in the world, and, with that in mind, we need to be prepared at all times to make strategical decisions that can translate into success.

Mateusz “Kikis” Szkudlarek is without a doubt one of the most talented European players in his position, playing a vital role in Unicorns of Love’s sensational runners-up finish in the LCS Spring playoffs. His experience at the highest level will certainly come in handy as we reach the Challenger Series playoffs, where mistakes cost dear. We firmly believe that Szkudlarek will take us to the next level and that we will be better equipped to face the challenges that lie ahead with him manning the jungle.

This means, however, that we will be waving goodbye to Nubar “Maxlore” Sarafian, who has been playing for the team for the last two weeks as a substitute. Sarafian, who will play his last match for Gamers2 today, against Denial, is a talented young player and we could not have asked for more from him. Sadly, we decided to go in a different direction, and we would like to thank him for his service and for helping us in a time of need.

Below you can find a statement from Szkudlarek on joining Gamers2:

“I have decided to join Gamers2 because I find both the team and the organisation very promising. Every player in this team is individually skilled and I think I can bring all of the pieces together into one. Under our manager Innerflame’s wing, we don’t have to worry about anything outside of the game and we can purely focus on qualifying for LCS.”

Our LoL team manager, Joe “InnerFlame” Elouassi, gave the following statement about the new jungler:

“Kikis is a player that I have worked with in multiple teams, not once has he disappointed me. I am relishing the prospect of being able to work with him on such a close basis once more and I am convinced that this is the final push we need to bolster our chances of making LCS this split. Kikis is a top 3 jungler in Europe and I feel that I can once again help his personal development for his career since he still has a lot left to show. He knows that, he’s motivated to show the hunger required for being the best and I am certain that is a possibility. I’d like to take a moment to thank Maxlore for his time with the team and helped us to victory against both Denial and Ex Nihilo. He is a player with tremendous talent and has a promising future ahead.”

You will be able to see Szkudlarek in action for our team starting next week. We would like to take this moment to thank our fans for the amazing support throughout the season, and we look forward to repaying all the trust by qualifying for the LCS. We are confident that this will be our season and that we will up there, at the top, very soon!
