ocelote recounts Katowice experience

Gamers2’s club manager, Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago, walks us through his time in the Polish city of Katowice, where he has met with fans, industry leaders and prospective partners.

Gamers2’s club manager, Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago, has spent the last few days in Katowice to get a better perspective on how the e-sports industry works, now that he is working behind the scenes. Besides engaging with G2 fans, he has met with industry leaders and prospective partners, so you can expect some exciting news in weeks to come!

Here is what Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago had to say about the time in Katowice:

It was an amazing experience to go to my first event as Club Manager. Meeting with fans and partners from a different point of view has been really, really refreshing. This job fits me very well. And even though I had to spend a lot of time in different meetings throughout the weekend, finding time to meet the G2 Army every time I had the chance felt awesome.

“When I saw players from different teams playing on the stage, I realized that what I lived as a player was awesome; yet it also felt like I decided to leave at the right moment. The industry is growing at a crazy rate, and we are in need of people with the drive and passion necessary to take the next step. CS:GO reaching 1 million viewers (not counting Asia) was huge. What I have seen in Katowice is a confirmation of what I was already convinced: we are doing a great job.
