Our Heroes of the Storm team has qualified for the 2015 edition of the World Cyber Arena, one of the biggest events of the year, after topping the European Open qualifier. With opponents like Virtus.pro and fnatic also vying for a spot, our players knew they would have to be at their best to top this single-elimination tournament. After picking up a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Virtus.pro in the semi-finals, our team was paired against the new fnatic roster in the grand final. It ended up being a one-sided affair, with the second match ending without fnatic even getting a single kill!
At the World Cyber Arena, which will take place in Yinchuan, China, from December 17th-20th, we will take on the best teams on the planet. Attending a major event like this one, with $200,000 up for grabs, is a well-earned prize for the players, who have stuck together even in the toughest of moments.
It is worth remembering that our Hearthstone player Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy will also attend the WCA finals. This is an event where G2 esports will be heavily represented, and we could not be happier to see our teams and players thriver on the biggest stages!
