Our Hearthstone player Thijs “Thijs” Molendijk and our League of Legends mid laner, Luka “Perkz” Perković, have been nominated for the Rookie of the Year and the PC Player of the Year award, respectively. The winners of these two awards will be revealed at the eSports Industry Awards ceremony, which will be held at The Brewery, in London, on November 21st.
Thijs, who won in June his second European Championship title and is due to attend the World Championship later this year, faces stiff competition from the likes of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Marcelo “coldzera” David and Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida. Luka, who has won back-to-back EU LCS Split playoffs and will compete at Worlds next week, is part of a five-man shortlist that includes Glenn “Hybrid” Doornenbal, who was part of our Spring Split roster.
The final decisions will be made by a panel of expert judges, which you can find here.
