Thijs wins Esport Superstars

Thijs “Thijs” Molendijk is the Esport Superstars champion after defeating Jan “SuperJJ” Janßen 3-0 in the grand final. Check out all the scores of the tournament in this coverage post.

Our Hearthstone trio of Thijs “Thijs” Molendijk, Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy and Dima “Rdu” Radu have travelled to Neumünster, Germany, where they will compete at Esports Superstars, a €25,000 invitational tournament that will take place at the world’s first mobile esports arena and roadshow truck, Big Betty. 

Esports Superstars will be the first offline tournament to be played in the newest Hearthstone expansion, “Mean Streets of Gadgetzan”, which was released at the start of the month. As such, it will be very interesting to see which decks will succeed as players are still trying to get a read on the new meta.

The tournament will begin with a double-elimination group stage, with the top two players from each group advancing to the playoffs. Below you can follow our coverage of the event:
