Christopher ‘Duffman’ Duff has quite a history with our League of Legends team. In 2017, after G2’s successful Spring Split and second place at MSI, Christopher moved into the gaming house in Berlin, taking on the role of Team Manager along with his Head Analyst duties. His contributions were invaluable for our first place finishes in 2016 Summer and 2017 Spring and Summer.
Here is Duffman’s statement about his return to G2 Esports:
At the end of last season I felt that I needed to take some time to focus on myself and on how I really wanted to work in League of Legends. By working remotely with TSM for Spring I was able to continue learning from Zven and mithy and also use my time to Scout Teams and focus on building up my own knowledge back to where I wanted it to be.
It was, however, difficult to work remotely on the NA schedule, so I made the decision to look for in-house or EU based work coming into Summer Split. Almost immediately after I announced that I was looking for a new position, Carlos contacted me directly and we began talking about the possibility of returning to G2 for Summer.
I’m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to return to the club that gave me so much. Even in the week I’ve been back the support from everyone at the organisation has been overwhelming and I can’t wait to get back to working alongside Luka and all of the new faces at G2 Esports. #G2FIGHTING!
For now Duffman will be helping the team remotely but he will come to Berlin once preparations for the Summer Split playoffs begin.
