Last weekend, ESL hosted in Barcelona an international CS:GO tournament, featuring eight European teams and €75,000 in prize money. It had a rather peculiar format, which resulted in alliances being forged (and also broken) as the competition wore on.
With three wins from six games, our team finished in a respectable third place, taking home €8,500. The big prize went to fnatic, who recovered from a poor start and won eight games in a row to secure a €32,000 payout and extend their fantastic winning run, which stretches back to the moment when they signed Dennis “dennis” Edman from our club.
