Today, we part ways with our Heroes of the Storm team, which has been with us since March 2015. We were one of the very first esports clubs to expand to HotS, and during these 10 months we developed a strong bond with the players and with the scene in general. At first, the team was able to maintain its place at the top of the pile, but as the year went on, results continued to falter, and none of the changes that were made seemed to produce any effect.
At the end of the year, we were informed that the players would be going their separate ways, leaving us with no choice but to close down the Heroes of the Storm section. We would like to thank Lukasz “Leofromkorea” Mirek, Piotr “Nicker” Muzolf, Bartosz “Szychu” Kosmacz, Oskar “Jowe” Halamus, Adrian “adrd” Wojcik and Emanuel “Baczek” Bąk for their contribution to the club and wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be keeping an eye on these players and our paths may well cross again in the future.
“This has been a very beautiful story of loyalty, respect, effort and understanding. The guys were with us during their peak, and we are immensely grateful for that. I wish them the best of luck in whatever they decide to do.”
Team member Nicker also commented on G2 parting ways with the team, saying:
“After very intense nine months together, we are parting ways with G2 Esports. During that time we achieved a lot and grew together. I believe 2015 was the best year in our gaming careers and it represented a big step for G2 as an esports club. We are very glad to have been part of that growth and to have represented G2 proudly worldwide. Thank you for the amazing support during that time and we wish you all the best in the future!”
