G2 Esports announces today that it has reached an agreement with fnatic for the immediate transfer of Mateusz “Kikis” Szkudlarek for an undisclosed fee.

Mateusz joined G2 in July 2015 and played a crucial role in our team’s qualification for LCS from the Challenger Series. Before the start of the Spring Split, he switched from the jungle to the top lane and helped the team to win the regular season and the playoffs. Three weeks into the Summer Split, he expressed his wish to step down from our starting lineup, which we respected.

Kikis was part of the team that won the Spring playoffs

Below you can find a statement from Mateusz about his time at the club:

“It was a pleasure working in such a great environment as the one that G2 provided me. I will miss working with the team and with everyone from the staff. But it is time to move on, and there is still a great road ahead of me. I hope I will meet G2 and face them in Krakow for an epic showdown!”

Everyone at G2 would like to thank Mateusz for his contribution to the club and wish him future success.
