G2 Call of Duty Roster Update

G2 Esports announces changes to their Call of Duty roster welcoming Lacefield and Methodz to the team.

When we announced our entry into Call of Duty, we stated our intent to reach the highest levels in the esport and to ensure our position in the upcoming CWL Pro League. As we strive to achieve our goal, we are constantly looking to improve and adapt to ensure success. After careful consideration and discussion with players and team management, we’ve concluded that personnel changes are needed to ensure we can become a top team in CWL and can secure our Pro League position at the 2019 CWL Pro League Play-In. With that said, we’ve made some changes to the roster that we’re very excited about and know you will be too. We know that the G2ARMY expects the best and with these new additions we’re confident that we will be able to reach those heights and surpass those expectations.

Firstly, we’d like to welcome Andres ‘Lacefield’ Lacefield to the team. Formerly of Pittsburgh Knights, Lacefield is a highly sought-after SMG Slayer that will help our team secure objectives and advantageous positions across each map. His incredible passion and intensity make him the perfect fit for this roster, and we’re thrilled to have him joining us. Speaking about joining G2 Esports, Lacefield said:

“I’m happy to be teaming alongside a group filled with such incredible talent. I’m very confident heading into this season. Lets bring a chip home for G2 CoD!”

In addition, we also welcome Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni to G2. A storied and accomplished CoD veteran with several top finishes, including a win and MVP performance at CWL Atlanta Open 2018, Methodz brings solid rifle firepower and experience to the team.

“I’m beyond excited to be moving into 2019 under the G2 banner. I believe this roster is packed with talent and potential, and I can’t wait to compete on the big stage next to this roster.”

With these new additions, we also bid a fond farewell to Richard “Ricky” Stacy and Brice “Faccento” Faccento. True competitors and teammates, we are grateful for their contributions these past few months and wish them the best in their future endeavours. Both are now free agents and available to explore new opportunities.

Here at G2, we are proud to strike new ground and prove we’re the best in every venture we set ourselves to. We’re thankful for all your support this year and hope you continue to support our Call of Duty roster into 2019. You can catch them in action from January 16th to 20th at the MLG Arena in Columbus for the 2019 CWL Pro League Play-In. Remember to follow us on Twitter,  Facebook, Instagram, Twitch and YouTube
