Brazil was wonderful and MSI has been amazing but life goes on and the EU LCS Summer Split begins on June 1st. We want to notify our fans that during the first week G2 Esports will go on stage with a slightly adjusted roster.
This year we took the preparation for the international tournament very seriously and players invested their maximum. At G2 Esports our players’ well-being is our number one priority. Therefore, our starting top laner Expect and jungler Trick were granted the opportunity to go home to Korea after MSI. We believe that the chance to go home, spend time with their families and recharge is essential for our players’ ability to perform on the highest level throughout the year.
“I am very happy to be home in Korea with my family. Thank you all for cheering for me and my team at MSI, I will be back in EU very soon with full energy for the Summer Split. G2 FIGHTING!” – says Trick sending his greetings to all the fans.

While Expect and Trick are back home for a short period of time, our substitute players: top laner Rosendo ‘Send0o’ Fuentes and Jean-Victor ‘loulex’ Burgevin will be stepping in temporarily for Week 1. Send0o has already proven his talent in the Spanish League of Legends scene where he is known for his impressive plays. The Spanish top laner was also helping the G2 Esports team during their preparation for the EU LCS Spring Split Finals in Hamburg. We are convinced that as an experienced jungler, who fans could previously see on teams such as H2k-Gaming, Unicorns of Love and lately FC Schalke 04, loulex will mesh in well with the other members during Week 1.
This starting roster change is temporary until Expect and Trick are back in Berlin.
