G2 Esports is delighted to announce a return to familiar surroundings as it ventures once again into Call of Duty, making good on the promise made in 2015, while parting ways with its previous roster, that it would keep an eye on the scene.
After almost 18 months, G2 makes another entrance into the game with renewed hopes and a roster with great potential, consisting of Michael “SpaceLy” Schmale, Martin “Chino” Chino, Tyree “Legal” Glove and Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi.
With this move, G2 also increases its presence in North America, where it is also represented in Rocket League and Super Smash Bros., further establishing itself as a global esports club.
“I believe in these guys, this will be the team that will shake up the competitive Call of Duty scene, and I cannot wait to see them represent our Samurai logo,” said Jakub “Lothar” Szygulski, G2 Esports’ Brand Manager. “The Call of Duty community is so enthusiastic, it is a pleasure to witness the crowd and the insane atmosphere at live events. We wanted to be part of this. I think we have finally found the right roster and that Michael, Martin, Tyree and Lamar will be our stars.”
Martin “Chino” Chino gave the following statement about joining G2: “I am very proud to represent G2 and to have this squad with me. I know we can do great things if we all put in our best effort.”
G2 fans will have plenty of opportunities to watch the new team in action in weeks to come as they will attend MLG Atlanta, this weekend, ESWC Paris, from February 17th-19th, and MLG Dallas, from March 17th-19th, competing for combined $500,000 prize pool.
