Last week was a very important one for Gamers2 as two of the club’s teams attended international offline events. After easing past WELL MET 2-0 in the Heroes Major League, Gamers2’s Heroes of the Storm team travelled to Bucharest for the PGL Spring Champions of the Storm, the first major LAN event in the history of the game. As expected, our players gave a great account of themselves but ultimately had to settle for second place as they were unable to beat Team Liquid in the grand final.
Fresh off joining Gamers2, Fernando “Ferperry” Martinez, George “The_Greek” Tsirita and Levy “SterrenStatuSs” Frederique flew to London to take part in Gfinity Spring Masters 2, which featured two independent knockout tournaments with all participants. Tsirita made it to the playoffs on both occasions, while Martinez even managed to reach the grand final of the Play Like a Legend championship but fell short against Spencer “A Huge Gorilla x” Ealing, who scooped the top prize.
Gamers2’s CS:GO team started the week on the wrong foot with a defeat against k1ck in the qualifiers for DH Open Tours but they picked themselves up and defeated PENTA Sports and Copenhagen Wolves just days later. Finally, our Call of Duty squad was defeated by Pain Gaming 2-3 in LVP’s Primera División.
