Gamers2 finishes 7th-8th at eSports Festival

Gamers2’s League of Legends team will be taking part in eSports Festival’s LoL tournament, featuring eight teams and a €17,500 prize pool.

Gamers2’s League of Legends team has arrived in the Belgian city of Gent, which will stage this weekend the eSports Festival, one of the biggest gaming events of the European Summer season. The recently-built Ghelamco Arena, home of the Belgian football champion K.A.A. Gent, will be the venue of this exciting festival, which will have professional League of Legends, FIFA and Fighting tournaments.

A total of €17,500 will be at stake in the LoL tournament, featuring eight renowned European teams, who have been drawn into two groups. After the end of the round-robin group stage, the top three sides from each group will move on to the single-elimination playoffs, with the group winners advancing straight into the semi-finals.

As announced earlier today, Gamers2 will be attending the eSports Festival with Amaury “Moopz” Minguerche as a substitute following the departure of Aleksi “Hiiva” Kaikkonen. The team had little practice going into this tournament, but we are confident that the quality of the players will see them achieve the goals that have been set out.

The prize distribution for Esports Festival’s LoL tournament is the following:

  • 1st place: €10,000
  • 2nd place: €5,000
  • 3rd place: €2,500
