Today we bid a sad farewell to one of our League of Legends players, Aleksi “Hiiva” Kaikkonen. The Finnish support, who had been part of our roster since the start of Spring season, performed really well under our banner, but we came to a mutual agreement to part ways. We would like to thank Kaikkonen for his time and effort while at the club and wish him the best of luck in his future as a professional player.
As you know, our LoL team will be in Belgium this weekend for the eSports Festival. Our fifth player for this event will be Amaury “Moopz” Minguerche, a 23-year-old Belgian who has played for a number of top teams throughout his career, including mousesports, SK Gaming and SUPA HOT CREW.
Here is what our LoL manager, Joe “InnerFlame” Elouassi, had to say about Kaikkonen’s departure and the future of the team:
“I’d like to thank Hiiva for the contribution he has made to Gamers2 and wish him the best of luck in the future. It is always a shame when a player steps down from a team and I know he’ll bounce back in the future! I’d also like to thank Moopz for subbing for us this weekend, what happens afterwards shall be revealed in the near future. This doesn’t change our ambitions for this event.”
