Gamers2 is pleased to announce that its Heroes of the Storm team has received an invitation to compete at DreamHack Summer, on June 14th, in Jönköping, Sweden. Together with the Turtle Beach Corporation, DreamHack will be hosting a tournament series called Turtle Beach DreamHack All-Stars, which will kick off at DreamHack Summer and conclude at DreamHack Open Valencia.
Our HotS team will be joined by Liquid, Natus Vincere and the winner of the BYOC (bring your own computer) qualifier in DreamHack Summer’s tournament, which will have $10,000 on offer. There will be more than bragging rights and money at stake, however, as the top two teams will also receive invites to compete at DreamHack Open Valencia, where a further $15,000 will be up for grabs.
Our players could not be happier to see Heroes of the Storm featured at such a prestigious event like DreamHack as it also reflects the growth that the game, which will be officially released on June 2nd, is experiencing. Our team manager Radoslaw “Ayden” Kwiatkowski had this to say about the invitation to compete in this tournament:
“There is no doubt that being invited to such a prestigious event as DreamHack Summer is a great honor for us and, at the same time, it is proof that we are recognized as a team that is ranked among the best of the best in Europe. DreamHack is undoubtedly one of the best e-sport events organized every year. Attending it is a dream for millions of players from around the globe, and only a few get to play on the main stage. We were invited together with Team Liquid and Natus Vincere, both of whom also belong to the elite, so they will be hard to beat. These are very experienced and talented teams with great achievements under their belts. Getting to play against them will only further motivate us to travel to Sweden and try to get the title!”
