Gamers2’s Heroes of the Storm will begin on Monday a four-day bootcamp in Poznan, in the west-central region of Poland, as they look to prepare for this weekend’s PGL Spring Champions of the Storm, the first major HotS tournament to be held offline.
A total of €10,000 will be on offer in this championship, which will be held under the aegis of DreamHack Bucharest. Team Liquid, SK Gaming and fnatic will be joining Gamers2 in the Romanian capital for what will be an action-packed weekend that certainly no HotS fan is going to miss!
Adrian “adrd” Wojcik, the team’s ingame leader, had this to say about the bootcamp and the tournament ahead:
“DreamHack Bucharest is going to be our first offline tournament in Heroes of the Storm. We worked hard to qualify for it, and it paid off. Playing offline is different than playing online, though, so we decided that the bootcamp will be very useful to prepare for the tournament. Staying together for almost a full week should improve our team chemistry, which is one of the most important things to be successful in HotS, in which teamplay is more important than individual skill. Even with our lack of LAN experience we are pretty confident that we can at least finish in the top two in Bucharest and show that we deserved to qualify for this tournament. We will make sure to prepare for our opponents and give a good show. I hope our fans will support us during the tournament and watch our games!”
During the next few days we will be bringing you updates from the bootcamp in Poznan, so keep checking our website and our social media platforms to find out how the team’s preparations for the PGL Spring Champions of the Storm are going.
