JKnaps & Rizzo join Rocket League team

G2 Esports is very excited to announce the signing of Jacob “JKnaps” Knapman and Dillon “Rizzo” Rizzo, with the duo joining Cameron “Kronovi” Bills on the roster for Season 3 of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS).

G2 Esports is very excited to announce that Jacob “JKnaps” Knapman and Dillon “Rizzo” Rizzo have joined its Rocket League team ahead of the start of Season 3 of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS).

Rizzo joins G2 after impressing for Take 3 during RLCS Season 2, when he helped his team to a fourth-placed finish at the offline finals, in Amsterdam. JKnaps has played for teams like Lucky Bounce, Momentum and Selfless in the past, and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young players hailing from North America.

The two new players have been playing alongside G2’s Cameron “Kronovi” Bills for several weeks now, with the team securing first-placed finishes in three different tournaments over this period: Beyond Entertainment: ASTRONAUTS, ShowDown: Take the Shot – Monthly and PRL Rivals – Cup 18. Everyone at the club is excited to be working with such a talented roster, whose competitive drive, dedication and hunger for success will be absolutely crucial to achieve the goal of becoming the strongest team in North America.

“I am really excited to be playing alongside JKnaps and Rizzo,” Kronovi said. “Both of them are incredibly strong individual players who also work well as a team. I am confident we can continue our history of success and prove to everyone we are the best team in North America.”

“I am excited for what is to come,” JKnaps added. “I have worked very hard to get to the position I am in, and I do not plan to disappoint. Kronovi and Rizzo are good friends and fantastic players. We are all putting the time into getting this done, and we’ve already seen amazing results.”

G2 would like to thank Brandon “Lachinio” Lachin, Ted “0ver Zer0” Keil and Cody “Gambit” Dover for their contribution to the club and wish them the best of luck in the future.

G2 fans will be able to watch the team in action on in the Take The Shot top 8, this Friday, and in the North American qualifiers for RLCS, from March 4th-11th. A total of $300,000 will be up for grabs in Season 3 of RLCS, which will culminate with the World Championship, in June.
