ocelote coaching LoL team before LCS Promotion

Gamers2’s founder and CEO, Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago, is coaching our League of Legends team ahead of Saturday’s LCS Promotion match, against SK Gaming.

In just a few days, our League of Legends team will take on SK Gaming at Riot Games’ studio, in Berlin, in the LCS Promotion stage. It is, without a doubt, the biggest match of our players’ careers, and, as such, any help is greatly appreciated. That is why we are thrilled to announce that Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago is helping the team to prepare for this exciting clash.

The meta may have changed since Rodríguez Santiago hung up his mouse and keyboard to focus on running Gamers2’s day-to-day operations, but his experience and his knowledge of the game will still prove invaluable as the team prepare for Saturday’s clash inside the offices of Dojo Madness, in Berlin.

Below you can find a statement from Gamers2’s CEO about helping the League of Legends team to fine-tune its strategies ahead of the LCS Promotion match:

“I am honestly thrilled to be a part of this project. When the guys told me they were interested in me coming by to help them I did not feel at first that I was the right person, as I have not played the game in about a year. However, I took a plane the day after and accepted to help them given the emergency. Then, as I kept studying the meta I realized that not that much stuff has actually changed since then. Champions here, champions there, everything remains more or less the same. Even though I still believe that my attributes and skillset do not match the role of a coach perfectly, I believe everything in life comes from attitude, so I think I can fulfill what is required from me. Let’s see if we can qualify for LCS this time around.”

Our mid laner, Luka “PerkZ” Perković, gave the following statement about Rodríguez Santiago agreeing to coach the team before the match against SK Gaming:

“It feels good to have Carlos as our coach because he was a professional player himself and he knows how to approach players. I think him stepping in now, when it is needed the most, will really help us to prepare for our match in a better way”.
